CARTER — Junior F. Jackson, 82, of Grayson, husband of Molly Blevins Jackson, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 9, 1930, in Cynthiana, to the late Guy and Madge Pennington Jackson.

He was retired from Kentucky Electric Steel as a maintenance supervisor and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Buddie Jackson; his daughter, Kristina Jackson Day; his granddaughter, Alli Jackson Lemaster; a daughter-in-law, Teresa King Jackson; his sister, Barbara Ann Jackson; and his two brothers, Larry Jackson and Johnny Jackson.

In addition to his wife, Molly, he is survived by sons Kenneth (Brenda) Jackson and John Jackson; daughters Joni (Alvin) Wilcox and Shanna (Greg) Glancy, all of Grayson; two sisters, Linda (Jude) Sexton of Grayson and Margaret (Ernie) Flaugher of Mayslick; five brothers, Gene (Deloris) Jackson, Joe (Linda) Jackson, Raymond (Sonny) Jackson and Gary (Leetta) Jackson, all of Grayson, and Bobby (Shirley) Jackson of Middletown, Ohio; grandchildren Michael Wilcox, Jenny Thompson, Joey Wilcox, Holly Griffith, Lindsey Roberts, Kati Fannin, Tubz Glancy, Molly Stephens, Zack Glancy, Savannah Day, Brady Jackson, Cheyenne Day, Sarah Jackson, Rebekah Jackson and Dalton Day; and great-grandchildren Kenzie, Graci, Jackson, Reid, Peyton, Grayson, Chase, Zane, Rayne, Kenadi, Dylan, Paisley, Sully and Layla. He also leaves behind extended family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May, 23, 2013, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson by Elders J.D. Riggs, Lewis Baier, Scott Baier, Ike Flaugher and Terry Marshall. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson, with military rites by the JROTC.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Michael Wilcox, Joey Wilcox, Tubz Glancy, Zack Glancy, Brady Jackson and Dalton Day.
