ASHLAND — Carol Faye Tarr, 74, of Scope Towers in Ashland, formerly of Greenup, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 12, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Ms. Tarr was born Aug. 8, 1938, in Salyersville, a daughter of the late Hager and Versie Porter Gullett.

She enjoyed doing activities at Scope Towers in Ashland and was of the Christian faith.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Gullett and Finley Gullett, and a sister, Ida Harrison.

She is survived by her best friend of 21 years, Maxine Meade of Ashland; her good friend, Dave Waldron of Ashland; a daughter, Katrina (Oscar) Clark of Greenup; two brothers, Hager (Carolyn) Gullett and Gary Gullett, both of Lakeland, Fla.; four sisters, Betty (Jack) Davis of Lake City, Fla., Dorothy Meacham of North Carolina, Brenda (Juan) Rangel of Lake City and Debbie McKnight of Lake City; four grandchildren, James Clark, Charlie Clark, Spring Clark and John Mark Clark; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Scope Towers in Ashland by Tom Swartzwelder.

Reed Funeral Home in Greenup is in charge of arrangements.
