ASHLAND — William Monroe “Buddy” Sexton, 52, of Ashland, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday morning, May 5, 2013, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland with his family at his side.

Buddy was born Nov. 8, 1960, in Ashland, a son of the late Dempsey Ray Sexton and Mary Sexton. His brother, Jack Sexton, also preceded him in death.

Buddy graduated from Paul G. Blazer High School and attended Christian Faith Outreach Church. He enjoyed woodworking, playing video games, gardening, fishing, swimming and watching movies. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed life. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sister, Desirae Sexton of Ashland; a nephew, Danny (Tonya) Penix of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; a niece, Michelle Steele (fiancé Terry Corey) of Ashland; a close friend, Angie Hale; and lots of friends.

The funeral for Mr. Sexton will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. Pastors Gene Easterling and Rick Jenkins will officiate. Final rest will be in Sexton Family Cemetery in Catlettsburg.
