Wanda R. Chandler, 84, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Catlettsburg, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.
She was born Feb. 18, 1929, in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Zeno and Glada Via Cornwell.
In addition to her parents, she was also was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Curtis E. “Curt” Chandler in 1995; a great-granddaughter, Megan Ehrhart; and three sisters, Mary, Dorothy and Ann.
Wanda was a member of the Creekside Missionary Church and the Iron City Car Club in Ironton, Ohio. She retired at the age of 80 from the U.S. Air Force Museum.
Wanda is survived by three children, Linda (Larry) Jones, Philip E. (Pam) Chandler and Steven (Ruth) Chandler; five grandchildren, Lisa (Andy), Adrianne (Bill), Meredithe, Jarrod (Amanda) and Afton (Ryan); 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth (Paul) Anderson; two brothers, Robert (Vivian) and Donald Cornwell; and her extended family and many good friends.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at the George C. Martin Funeral Home, Northridge Chapel, 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road in Dayton. Pastor Mark Masterson will officiate. Interment will be in Willow View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
