LOAD — Leonard Leon “Juice” Marshall, 77, of Load, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, in our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.

He was born July 24, 1936, on Alcorn in Greenup County, the oldest son of the late Fred and Edna Stephenson Marshall.

He was a retired clerk for CSX Railroad, a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church, a founding member of the Load Fire Department, a member and past president of the Greenup Lions Club and a member of the T.C.U. Union.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lyvonne Chaffins Marshall; and three sisters, Ellen Click, Eva Howard and Berma Lou Tackett.

He is survived by a son, Timmy Leon Marshall and his wife, Donna Loraine of Greenup; two daughters, Lori Ann Poe and her husband, Gary, and Amy Lynn Bond and her husband, Robbie, both of Load; two brothers, Charlie Marshall of Load and Bob Marshall of Columbia, Tenn.; three sisters, Margaret Sanders of Grayson, Leona Eastham of Raceland and Stella Wireman of Load; seven grandchildren, Misty Tackett, Jenna Marshall, Zachary Hale, Autumn Malone, Adam Hale, Ashlee Bond and Emily Bond; two stepgrandchildren, Lyndsay Poe and Leslie Poe; six great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Opal Montgomery.

The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Michael Wilder. Burial will be in the Chaffins Cemetery on Little White Oak Road in Load.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Load Volunteer Fire Department or the Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
