Charles Edward “Pee Wee” Nance 1946-2013

GREENUP — Charles Edward “Pee Wee” Nance, 67, of Flatwoods, passed away, Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.  

Mr. Nance was born Feb. 26, 1946, in Grayson. He was preceded in death by his natural father, Edward E. McGlone in 1947, and survived by his parents, Marshall and Mary Louise Blankenship Nance.  

Mr. Nance was a 1964 graduate of Russell High School, a retired boilermaker for CSX, and owner of C N Supply in Flatwoods.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by four children: Charles E. “Jay” Nance Jr. and his wife, Ursula, of Greenup, Melissa Dawn Nance of Russell, Sherry Lee Wilburn and her husband, Scott, of Worthington and Kathy Ann Akers and her husband, Jeremy, of Raceland; three sisters, Marsha Louise Bowling and her husband, Russell, of Greenup, Teresa Gaye Roark and her husband, Jim, of Grayson and Phyllis Ann Houtkooper of California; seven grandchildren, Jessica Nance, Jamie Nance, Jeffrey Nance, Jacob Nance, Abby Wilburn, Evan Wilburn and Cassidy Akers.  

The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Burial will be in Bentley Cemetery in Carter County.

Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods has been entrusted with arrangements.
