Bobby Joe Barker, 39, of Isonville, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at his home.
He was born Aug. 13, 1973, in West Liberty, the son of Jerry and Junice Thornberry Barker.
Bobby attended Morehead State and received a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. He worked in accounting at the People’s Bank of Sandy Hook. He also worked as an assembly laborer at Guardian Automotive.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James L. and Nina Barker, and a maternal grandfather, George Thornberry.
Besides his parents, Bobby is survived by a brother, Jerry Clarence Barker Jr. of Sandy Hook; a sister, Roberta Barker Gilliam and husband, Rodney; nieces and nephews, Rebecca and husband, Grant Lyon, Rodney Dewayne and wife, Rebecca Gilliam, Jerry C. Barker III, Brittany Nicole Barker and James Walker Barker; as well as two great-nieces and a great-nephew.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook, with Brother Mike Gilliam and Brother Rodney Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott County Memory Gardens.
