WILLARD — Jonah McDavid, 93, of Willard, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at his residence.  

He was born Dec. 29, 1918, at Beetle, a son of the late D.W. and Florence Wilcox McDavid.  

He was a member of the Little Fork United Baptist Church, a farmer and ASCS committee member for more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Beatrice McDavid, Sue Kozee and Hila Payne; and three brothers, Forrest McDavid, Watt McDavid and Joe McDavid.  He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Evelyn Wright McDavid. His other survivors include one son, Michael McDavid of  Willard and one daughter, Patricia Hay of Willard; one sister, Catherine Spann of Knoxville, Tenn.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral  will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Brother Tim Porter. Burial will follow in the McDavid Family Cemetery in Grayson.  

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and after Noon on Sunday.
