CARTER — Virginia “Jenny” Hannah Dean, 87, of Grayson, went to be with her Lord Friday, June 21, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.  

Jenny was born Aug. 10, 1925, in South Shore, the daughter of the late Paul and Betty Jones Hannah.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Billy Hannah.

Jenny was a 1944 graduate of Wheeling High School in Wheeling, W.Va., and was a dedicated member of the Pactolus United Methodist Church for more than 62 years, having served in various groups with the Lyndsey-Pactolus Homemakers, Lyndsey- Pactolus Community Development and the Pactolus United Methodist Women’s group.

Jenny is survived by her husband of 67 years on June 15, John A. Dean of Grayson; her son, John B. Dean, of Grayson; a sister, Betty Jane McFadden of Gainesville, Ga.; and extended family and many special friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Tom Riffe officiating. Burial will be in the Hannah Cemetery.  

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 22, 2013, and after noon Sunday at the funeral home.
