GRAYSON — Jack McDavid, 80, of Grayson, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 30, 1932, in Grayson, a son of the late Ernest and Ollie Oney McDavid.

Jack was a retired boilermaker with Local 667 of Winfield, W.Va., and was a member of Mount Chapel United Baptist Church.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Johnson McDavid, in 1994; two sisters, Lillian Porter and Maxine Howard; and a brother, Ernest J. McDavid.

His survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Ike) Flaugher and Jackie (Steve) Bush of Grayson; two sisters, Ethel “Peegee” McMasters and Janet (Bud) Meenach of Grayson; three grandchildren, Tyler Flaugher, Kalli Douglas and Natalie Riffe; and four great-grandchildren, Isaiah Estep, Tate Riffe, Ian Douglas and Madison Douglas.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by J.D. Riggs, minister. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson.

Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Tim Blevins, Terry Blevins, Tyler Flaugher, Rock McDavid, Jeff McDavid, Stewart McDavid, Michael Meenach, Randall Riffe, Shawn Douglas and Chuck Howard.
