Ronald Douglas Holt 1968-2014

ASHLAND — Ronald Douglas Holt, 45, of Ashland, passed away Monday evening, Feb. 10, 2014, in Community Hospice Care Center.

He was born Oct. 17, 1968, in Huntington, a son of James Paul and Sheila Thompson Holt of Catlettsburg.

Ron was a 1986 graduate of Boyd County High School, where he was on the wrestling and basketball teams. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and drag racing.

Also left to cherish his memory include his wife, Angie Smith Holt of Ashland; a daughter, Megan Marie Holt of Ashland; a brother, James Gregory Holt of Chesapeake, Ohio; a stepsister, Sara McClanahan and husband Robert of Catlettsburg; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lytle and Beth Sexton Smith of Rush; and a host of loving extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be at noon Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel, with words of comfort by Fred Jones. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
