Beverly Sue Hanshaw

IRONTON — Beverly Sue Hanshaw, 52, of Ironton, Ohio, was called home to be with our most precious Heavenly Father on the beautifully crisp afternoon of Jan. 15, 2012, in the comfort of Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Beverly was a vibrant and caring individual who utilized her gifts to bring comfort while employed with Bellefonte Home Health in previous years. She was a dedicated mother who devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and loved to spend a lazy day browsing at a local flea market or yard sale. Beverly always carried a smile and a kind word for all she met, and had numerous friends and family who will miss her dearly.

She will be significantly missed by her loving mother, Delores Presley Gussler of Ashland; the caring father of their children, George H. Crum of Ironton; her devoted children, George A. Crum, Michael S. Crum and Angie D. Layne, all of Ironton; and four grandchildren to whom she was dearly dedicated, Callie Sue and William Layne of Ironton, Logan Crum of Ashland and Kendal Jones of Catlettsburg. She also is survived by two brothers, Donald and Tammy Gussler of Catlettsburg and Bill and Julie Gussler of Ashland; a sister, Tonya and James Albright of Greenup; and three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Gussler, Tina and Kenny Parker, all of Ashland, and Evonne “Cookie” and Charles Diamond of South Shore; and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly.

Beverly has joined in heaven her father, Charles Gussler, her brother, Charles “Chuck” Gussler Jr., and a nephew, Charles Frederick Gussler III, who welcomed her with open arms.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by Pastor Tom Leach. Burial will be in Coalton Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
