Christopher Whitney Hogg - 1958-2014

ASHLAND — Christopher Whitney Hogg, 55, died Jan. 19, 2014, following a heart attack.   

Chris was preceded in death by the best parents ever, George and Rosemary Brennan Hogg; his brother, Gerard Hogg; and his nephews, George Hogg III and Brad King.

Chris is survived by his sister, Mary “Porky” Hogg Krell (Charles); his brothers, George Hogg (Debbie) and Hiram Hogg (Kate); and numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and cousins too numerous to list.

Chris was a graduate of Holy Family High School and studied business administration, marketing and fun at Morehead State University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in business administration and a black belt in fun. Chris was a member of Alpha Phi Iota fraternity at Ashland Community College and Lambda Chi Alpha at Morehead State.

Chris will be greatly remembered and sorely missed by his family, numerous friends and co-workers at Churchill Downs and Keeneland.  

A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Holy Family Church in Ashland.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678 or Kosair Children’s Hospital, 231 E. Chestnut St., Louisville, KY 40202.
