LUCASVILLE, OH —
Charles Michael “Mike” Kirtley, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice on Thursday Jan. 16, 2014.
He was born May 16, 1947, in Ashland, and was preceded in death by his father, Charles Kirtley.
He was a member of Normal Presbyterian Church in Ashland and attended Minford Community Church. Mike was a freelance computer specialist and electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Jill Kirtley; his mother, Blanche Kirtley of Richmond; a brother, Arch DeBoard (Cheryl) of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Stewart Kirtley (Megan) of Ashland; a daughter, Lara Dulaney (George) of Richmond; a stepson, David Young (Sherry) of Lucasville, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Jane Thayer (Chettie) of Lucasville; grandchildren Damon and Delilah, Mason and Dawson, Matt and Justin and Monte and Reuben; and special friends Shari Coleman, Paula Gannon and Cathy Gearhart.
At his request, his body was donated to The Ohio State University Department of Anatomical Sciences. There will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are under the direction of McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
