Robert Keith Roberts 1944-2014

ASHLAND — Robert Keith Roberts, 70, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, at his residence.

The Ironton, Ohio, native was born May 18, 1944, the son of the late Robert “Ned” and Juanita Patterson Roberts.

He was a graduate of Dawson Bryant High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a former lab technician for Ironton Iron and the Dayton Malleable. He was a member of Arabia Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he also was preceded by a brother, Philip Roberts.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Keith Roberts II of Ironton and Derek Ryan Roberts of Ashland; two sisters, Hilda Jean Terry of South Point, Ohio, and Penny (Jack) Davis of Ironton; and three grandchildren, Corey Roberts, Marissa Roberts and Sarah Roberts, all of Grayson.

The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 So. Seventh St., Ironton, with Pastor Ron Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Mamre Cemetery at Kitts Hill with military graveside rites by the V.F.W. Post 8850.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Robert Roberts, Derek Roberts, Corey Roberts, Philip Roberts, Dustin McWharter, Jeff Lucas and Frank Patterson.
