Vivian Mae Kirk Lemon - 1926-2012

ASHLAND — Vivian Mae Kirk Lemon, 85, of Ashland, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 20, 1926, in Louisa, the daughter of the late John Emory and Nellie Clay Kirk.

She was a former seamstress and attended Holy Family Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James A. Lemon and a grandson, Steven Johnson.

Surviving are four daughters, Linda Cowart of Anderson S.C., Rita (Gary) Johnson of Knoxville, Tenn., Teresa (Robert Dean) Robinson of Ashland and Bridget (William R.) Palmer of Ashland; two sons, James A. Lemon of Ashland and William E. (Penny, deceased) Lemon of Wheelersburg, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Sonya Woodbury, Elizabeth Renee Davis, Angela Marie Robinson, William Nicholas Palmer, William Joseph Palmer, James Leslie Lemon and Kristin Marie Lemon; and four great-grandchildren, James Andrew Palmer, William Nicholas Palmer, Samuel Kirk Palmer and Landon James Davis.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today, Jan. 3, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ashland by the Rev. John Noe.

There is no visitation.

Miller Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1942.
