Rosemary Farthing, 84, of Ky. 5, Ashland, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland following an extended illness.
Rosemary was born April 11, 1929, in Beckley, W.Va., a daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Underwood Farthing.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Leondas Ruth Miller; two brothers, Virgil and Woodrow Farthing; and two sisters, Jeanette Hendrickson and Quindora Childers.
Survivers include three sons, Harry Miller, Walt Miller and Dennis Miller and wife, B’Gail, all of Ashland; a daughter, Gail Miller of Ashland; two sisters, Helen Lilly of Goldsboro, N.C., and Winnie Deck (Gene) of Crab Orchard, W.Va.; a brother, William Farthing (Pinky) of Ocala, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Beckley by Brother Scott Dameron.
Arrangements are under the direction of Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland.
