Lola Mae Copley Thompson Talbert 1923-2014

KENOVA — Lola Mae Copley Thompson Talbert, 90, of Kenova, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, and entered into heaven with her family by her side.  

She was born Dec. 24, 1923, to Henry and Mary Jane Harvey Copley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Roy Arthur Thompson and Robert Talbert; her sisters, Chloe Williams and Nanny White; her brothers, Lucian, Zoria and John H. Copley; and her grandson, Brent Steele.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God in Catlettsburg.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda C. Steele (Claude) of Kenova; her son, Robert L. Thompson (Jean) of Newport News, Va.; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House staff, especially Georgeanna Tucker, CNA, and Sandy Smith, RN.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 6th Ave., Huntington, WV 25701.

The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with the Rev. James M. Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Dock’s Creek Cemetery in Kenova.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 20, 2014, at the funeral home.
