Marvin Rhoden 1966-2014

ASHLAND — Marvin Rhoden, 48, of Stout, Ohio, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born Feb. 8, 1966, in Ashland, to the late Earnest Rhoden and Hazel Lou Bertram Rhoden of Wheelersburg, Ohio.

In addition to his father, Marvin was preceded in death by a brother, Stevie Rhoden; a sister, Patricia Estep; and mother-in-law, Beverly Watkins.

He was an employee of Nile Township.

Along with his mother, Marvin is survived by his wife, Bobbi Sue Watkins Rhoden, whom he married on Dec. 26, 2001, in Greenup; a daughter, Maegan Leigh Rhoden of Stout; a son, Earnest Zachary Rhoden of Stout; a brother, Danny (Debbie) Rhoden of Greenup; three sisters, Christine Vaughn and Connie Rhoden, both of Greenup and Gloria (Tim) Lewis of Wheelersburg; father-in-law, Robert Watkins of Blue Creek, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, Ohio, with Greg Cooper officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
