Betty Jo Argabrite, 66, of Ashland, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, July 1, 2013, in J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa.
She was born in Charleston, W.Va., on Sept. 29, 1946, to the late Adrian and Geneva Dingess Argabrite.
Betty Jo was a nanny and enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, arts and crafts, cooking, baking, playing cards, country music, dancing and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Christina (Marty) Tackett of McDowell, Dianna (Glen) Grubb of Catlettsburg and Mary Ann (Terry) Lowe of Ironton, Ohio; a son, John Thomas Wellman of Chesapeake Ohio; a brother, Donald (Joann) Argabrite; a sister, Mary (Ashley) Alberman; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren, all whom will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
Friends may call two hours prior before services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
