Harlin Skaggs - 1932-2013

OLIVE HILL — Harlin Skaggs, 81, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, at his home.

He was born June 10, 1932, at Ibex, the son of the late Ora and Bertha Smith Skaggs.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jo Stafford and Dorothy Hannah.

Harlin was a farmer and attended Shady Grove Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Metta Mabry Skaggs; a daughter, Cynthia McAuley of Lexington; two grandsons, Tyler and Dylan McAuley; and a sister, Ellen Mabry of Hillsboro.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook. Burial will be in Elliott County Memory Gardens.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
