Karen Lynn Lewis Logan, 65, of Sandy Hook, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, in King’s Daughters Medical Center at Ashland.
Karen was born Sept. 18, 1947, in Ashland, the daughter of Mynea E. Ferguson Lewis of Sandy Hook, and the late James E. Lewis.
She was a retired school teacher with the Elliott County Board of Education and a member of the Sandy Hook United Methodist Church.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Kristin Logan and husband Brian Mischel of Louisville and Beth Logan and husband Josh Hale of Sandy Hook; two grandchildren, Dylan James Moore of Sandy Hook and Henry James Mischel of Louisville; a sister, Sharon and husband Earl Elliott of Sandy Hook; and a brother, Mark E. and wife Teresa Lewis of Sandy Hook.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with Pastor Warren Vanover and Brother Pat Gampp officiating. Burial will be in the Elliott County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sandy Hook United Methodist Vacation Bible School.
