James David Robert - 1955-2014

CATLETTSBURG — James David Robert, 58, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, surrounded by his loving family and friends in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

He was born May 9, 1955, in Ashland, the son of Margaret Clark Robert Ray of Catlettsburg and the late George E. Robert. He was also the stepson of the late Charles F. Ray.

James attended the old Haney School and Catlettsburg High School.

He is also survived by a daughter, Jamie Robert; two sisters, Cheryl Bocook of Ashland and Kathi Hutchinson of Ashland; six brothers, Troy Ray of Ashland, Chuck Ray Jr. of Ohio and Curtis Ray, Don Ray, Charlie Ray and Patrick, all of Catlettsburg. Another brother, John S. Robert, passed away on March 25, 2014. Together again.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Shay, Kierra, Cathy, Liam and Selena; an aunt, Donna Salyers of Findlay, Ohio; and nephews and nieces Chris Hutchinson, Adam Bocook, Casey Bocook, Austin Ray, Maggie Hutchinson, Amber Ray and Carly Ray.

We thank a special friend, Rosa Sanchez of Ashland, who was always there for him and his family.

The funeral for Mr. Robert will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg by Pastor Brian Chaffins. Final rest will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
