Timothy Dean Bays - 1959-2013

GREENUP — Timothy Dean Bays, 54, formerly of Greenup, passed away Dec. 27, 2013, in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods after an extended illness.

Tim was born Jan. 18, 1959, in Ashland, to Lucretia Stone Bays Shoemaker of South Point, Ohio, and the late Charles Lee Bays of Greenup.

After graduating from Greenup County High School in 1977, Tim earned a degree in communications from Ashland Community College and worked in radio broadcasting at WCMI radio. Then in 1985, Tim would attend The Huntington School of Beauty Culture and soon acquired numerous clientele and become a master stylist and color artist. Shoemaker of Huntington, Cayden Shoemaker of Barboursville and Jaydon Hawthorne, also of  Barboursville; and one aunt that he “grew up” with and loved dearly, Dorothy “Pib” Claxon of Greenup. Tim also leaves behind a host of friends and extended family that will mourn his passing.

The family would like to thank our family and friends at Oakmont Manor, Robin, Amy, Carolyn, Stacey, Kathy, Melinda, Jodie, Misty, Tiffany, Kelsey, Connie, Teresa and Kayla.
