Debra Mosser 1953-2013

KENOVA — Debra Mosser, 60, of Kenova, passed away peacefully on Sept. 22, 2013, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington.

She was born April 6, 1953, in Ashland, to the late C.I. Burks and Lenora Burks.

Debra was a homemaker where she enjoyed taking care of her family, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grayson, and enjoyed hobbies such as shopping, creating blankets for others in need and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Asa Burks, Charles “Sunny” Burks and Jack Taylor.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Sid R. Mosser of Kenova; one son, Sid “Rusty” Mosser of Kenova; one grandchild, Alexis Mosser; three sisters, Fern Cooper of Dayton, Ohio, Barbara (Donald) McKee of Raceland and Patsy Boston of Sarasota, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Janet Taylor of Flatwoods; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, whom will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be conducted at noon Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, with words of comfort delivered by Pastor Paul Schmidt.

Friends may call one hour prior to service time Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington or The First Baptist Church of Grayson.
