Margaret Louise Dodt Yancey - 1916-2013

ASHLAND — Margaret Louise Dodt Yancey, 96, of Ashland, passed away April 4, 2013, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.

She was born Nov. 7, 1916 in Cleves, Ohio, to the late Anna and Clarence Coleman. She was also preceded in death by husbands William Dodt and George Yancey.  

Margaret was a graduate of Taylor High School in Cleves and was a beautician. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the South Ashland Lions Club. She was a Hospice volunteer and avid bridge player. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and a member of the Rosie Reds.  

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Meister (Marvin) of Louisville, Joyce Williams (Jack) of Atlanta and Julie Coburn (Bob) of Ashland; a stepdaughter, Ava Kinney of Ashland; a stepson, Phil Yancey (Carol) of Cynthiana; grandchildren Bill Meister, Sherry Meister, Julie Reaves, Jodi Dod, Jeri Sims, Jonathan Williams, Todd Clark and Melissa Clark; seven  great-grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cleves following services.

Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
