Lois Ann Cook-Salyers, 80, of Flatwoods, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, and now rests in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on July 29, 1932, to the late Roy and Mae Mershon-Cook.
Lois was a homemaker and a member of Martha United Baptist Church in Raceland. Her family was her life and she loved them dearly.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Salyers, who passed away on April 29, 1992; five brothers, Bob, Lowell, Ed, Cookie and Paul; and five sisters, Doris, Jean, Norman, Rosie and Hazel.
Left behind to cherish her memory is a devoted family, including three daughters, Nancy Wilhelm, Rhonda Bailey and Tammy and Bill Spears, all of Flatwoods; three sons, Larry and Rita Salyers of Worthington, Steve and Sandy Salyers of Westwood and Ronnie Sal-yers of Flatwoods; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the funeral home.
