Patricia Lynn “Patty” Boggs Cline 1940-2012

CARTER — Mrs. Patricia Lynn "Patty" Boggs Cline, age 72, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 11, 2012, in  Episcopal Church Home in Louisville.

She was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Willard W. Boggs and the late Aileen Rose Boggs Smith.

Patty was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Olive Hill. She taught for 33 years in Carter County Public Schools with most of those years as a kindergarten teacher. Patty was also a member of the Olive Hill Historical Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, former State Representative Lowell Eugene “Gene” Cline.

Patty is survived by her three children and their spouses, Terri Cline Alderman and her husband David of Wallingford,  Todd Cline and his wife Alicia of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Eric Cline and his wife Sarah of Louisville; one granddaughter, Corinne Cline of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a second grandchild due later this month; one sister, Marquetta Boggs Gulley and her husband Carl of Richmond, Va.; one brother-in-law, Norton Cline of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; two nephews; and her best friend and first cousin, Linda Lowe. She also leaves many other cousins, extended family members, church family, neighbors, and friends who will truly miss her.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 365 East Tom T. Hall Blvd., Olive Hill, KY 41164 with Brother Matt McKenzie and Brother Bob Donovan officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Hill Memorial Park.

Friends may visit from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, and after 9 a.m. on Monday at the church.

Grady Lowe, Dan Curtis, Matt Gulley, Billy Gulley, Casey Lowe, and Tony Tackett will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Gulley and Roger Meade.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Olive Hill or the Olive Hill Historical Society.

Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill is in charge of all arrangements.
