GREENUP — Wanda Burchwell, 84, of Plum Grove Road, Greenup, went to be with the Lord Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods.

Mrs. Burchwell was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Boyd County, a daughter of the late William and Goldie Stevens Baldridge.

She was a member of Plum Grove Baptist Church in Greenup.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irven Burchwell; one sister, Barbara Carpenter; and a special aunt, Marie Collins.

She is survived by one son, Mike Burchwell of Winfield, W.Va.; two daughters, Connie (Jim) Royster of Ocala, Fla., and Pam (Steve) Melvin of Greenup; one brother, William Baldridge Jr. of Wurtland; four grandchildren, Charles “Tony” (Tay) Douglas of Lexington, David (Karen) Douglas of Lexington, Tara (J.P.) Gallion of Greenup and Scott (Kaycie) Melvin of Greenup; and five great-grandchildren, Parker Gallion, Tenley Melvin, Skylar Gallion, Paisley Melvin and Laykin Gallion.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Minister Robert Jordan. Burial will be in the Plum Grove-Collins Cemetery in Greenup.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
