Charles Collier, 62, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at his residence.
The Floyd County native was born Aug. 3, 1950, the son of the late Oakie and Leavodis Williams Collier.
Mr. Collier was a graduate of Wayland High School in Floyd County. He was a former welder for Mansbach Metal and a member of Rock Camp United Methodist Church.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Oakie Collier Jr., Robert Collier and Billy Ray Collier; and three sisters, Mary Lou Slone, Sharon Casebolt and Jacqueline Collier.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Mays Collier; a son, Anthony Collier of Ashland; a daughter, Stephanie Wilburn of Ashland; a stepdaughter, Danielle Allen of Willow Wood, Ohio; a stepson, Jacob Loevenguth of Ashland; a sister, Allene Amburgey of Shelby, Ohio; three brothers, Denver Collier, Johnny Collier and Ronnie Collier, all of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Oliver Wilburn, Austin Wilburn and Sydney Collier; and stepgrandchildren, Kylie Allen, Emily Allen, Merrick Loevenguth and Ady Loevenguth.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Rock Camp United Methodist Church by Brother Wayne Wise. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton, Ohio, and an hour before services Sunday at the church.
