Eunice Fay Gillispie - 1926-2009
Eunice Fay Gillispie, 83, of South Shore, Ky., passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, in Hempstead Manor in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Mrs. Gillispie was born Jan. 15, 1926, in Argillite, Ky., a daughter of the late Gordon and Pearlie Whitley Arnett.
She attended South Shore Church of God and was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ottis Carter, Ruth Scznsny and Myrtle Coffee; a brother, Beecher Arnett; a son-in-law, Philip Melvin; and a grandson, Aaron Gillispie.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Eugene Gillispie; four daughters, Norma Melvin of West Portsmouth, Ohio, Evelyn (David) Veach of Sarasota, Fla., Debra Farley of South Shore and Sheila (Scott) Green of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Beatrice Belford of Greenup, Ky.; three grandchildren, Kelli Abruzzo, Robert Bradford and Victoria Green; five great-grandchildren, Beau, Kristen, Jacob, Erin and David; her special niece, Sue; a special friend, Theresa; and many other special friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Pastor Jim Brandenburg. Burial will be in Pennsylvania Cemetery at Argillite.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.

Mary Lucy Crawford Womack - 1916-2009
Mary Lucy Womack, 93, of Grayson died early Tuesday morning at her residence.
She was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Grayson, a daughter of the late W.V. and Mary Nipp Crawford.
She was a housewife, mother, and a member of the First Church of Christ in Grayson.
She was a graduate of the Christian Normal Institute (CNI) and attended Morehead State University.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Womack; a sister, Billie Alice Buck; and a brother, Woodrow Crawford.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Lynn (Karen) Womack of Louisville; two daughters, Lesley Elam and Rebecca (Dalis) Burchett, both of Grayson; grandchildren Courtney and Kristen Elam, Brooke (Jeff) Rice, Sarah Griffith and Andrew and Amelia Womack; and great-grandchildren Cameron and Ian Rice.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6 at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson by Tim Nischan, minister. Burial will be in Grayson Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rhonda Nelson - 1970-2009
Rhonda Michelle Alexander Nelson, 38, of Ashland, died Monday in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
She was born Dec. 4, 1970, in Ashland.
Her husband, Edgar Nelson, survives.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Winslow Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg.
Wilma Broce - 1930-2009
Wilma A. Burkhart Broce, 79, of Westwood, died Tuesday in Community Hospice Care Center.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery in Westwood.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Carolyn Edington
Carolyn Marie Edington, 53, of Vanceburg, died Tuesday at her residence.
Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill is in charge of arrangements, which are pending.
Evelyn Hughes - 1929-2009
Evelyn Water Hughes, 80, of Tollesboro, died Friday in Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.
She was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Lewis County.
There will be no funeral service or visitation.

Halienna Trent - 1947-2009
Halienna Hendricks Trent, 62, of Meally, died Monday.
She was born April 6, 1947, in Johnson County.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville. Burial will be in Penix Family Cemetery in Boonscamp.

Elbert Wells
Elbert Lee Wells, 86, of Middletown, Ohio, died Tuesday in Kensington Place in Middletown.
His wife, Juanita King Wells, survives.
The funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Woodside Cemetery Chapel in Middletown. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery in Middletown.

Mary “Laurie” Fraley - 1932-2009
Mary “Laurie” Alice Fraley, 77, of Tipp City, Ohio, died Monday.
She was born April 28, 1932, in Elliott County.
Her husband, Addie Fraley Jr., survives.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fairborn Enterprise Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elliott County Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the church and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook.
