Kenneth William Bolick Jr.
Kenneth William Bolick Jr., 33 days old, of Ashland, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Oct. 7, 2008, in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
Kenneth was born Sept. 4, 2008 in Lexington, the son of Brittany Payne and Kenneth William Bolick Sr., both of Ashland. He was also preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, John Danner.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a stepsister, Brianna Sturgill of Ohio; his maternal grandparents, Wanda and Dennis Payne of Ashland; his maternal great-grandparents, Gertrude and Sherman Stewart of Argillite, Ky.; and his paternal grandparents, Lois Bolick of North Carolina and Kenneth Bolick of Louisville, Ky.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Picklesimer Cemetery in Argillite by the Rev. Tom Jackson.
Evans Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
Jeffrey Lee Griffith - 1961-2008
Jeffrey Lee Griffith, 47, of Lexington, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, in St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington.
Jeffrey was born Feb. 11, 1961, in Ashland, Ky., a son of Naomi Withrow Cornwell of Ashland and the late Lonnie Griffith.
He was a former employee of Hill’s Department Store in Lexington.
In addition to his mother, Jeffrey is survived by two sisters, Kathy Madden and Lori Van Hoose, both of Ashland; three nephews, Scott Madden and Shawn Van Hoose, both of Ashland, and Jason Madden of Joplin, Mo.; a stepnephew, Sammy; a stepniece, Sandy; an uncle, Lafayette Withrow of Flatwoods, Ky.; his animal buddies, Papaguy, Carly Sue, Mr. Humphrys and Onslow; and his special friend, Larry Rayburn of Lexington.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2008, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery in Westwood.

Bruce Leibee - 1958-2008
Bruce Wayne Leibee, 50, of Rush, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at his home following an extended illness.
Bruce was born July 28, 1958, in Medina, Ohio, a son of Robert W. and Hazel McKnight Leibee.
He was the vice president of Allied Insulation in Commerce City, Colo., and a member of Ward Road Baptist Church in Arvada, Colo. He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Wheelin’ Sportsman, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, the National Rifle Association and the National Wild Turkey Association.
He was preceded in death by a son, Nathaniel Wayne Leibee; his paternal grandparents, William McKinley and Serena Easterling Leibee; and his maternal grandfather, Emmett H. McKnight.
Survivors include his parents, Robert W. and Hazel McKnight Leibee of Rush; a daughter, Sarah Nicole Leibee of North Platte, Neb.; a stepdaughter, Misty Allbritton, of Lewellen, Neb.; two brothers, Robert Keith Leibee and his wife, Terri, of Ballwin, Mo., and Karl Emmett Leibee and his wife, Miriam, of Rush; a sister, Sherri Lynn Leibee of Rush; his maternal grandmother, Faye McKnight of Rush; a grandson, Trevor Wayne of North Platte; several nieces and nephews, Kathryn M. Leibee, Michael R. Leibee and Matthew R. Leibee, all of Ballwin, and Tammy Moore and her husband, B.J., of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a great-niece and great-nephew, Madison Moore and Dade C. Moore, also of Parkersburg; and extended family and friends.
Bruce will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by Pastor Russell Griffith.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arvada.

Dewayne Allen Barber - 1974-2008
Dewayne Allen Barber, 33, of Otter Lake, Mich., formerly of Grayson, Ky., passed away from injuries he received in a job-related accident in Traverse City, Mich., on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008.
He was born Oct. 11, 1974, in Grayson, a son of the Late Charles and Betty Hall Barber.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandmother, Etta M. Hall; an uncle, Jess W. Hall; and a brother-in-law, Odie Wayne Bryant.
His survivors include his wife, Dori Jo Stephen Barber of Otter Lake; his children, Kerrick Barber, Kaden Barber and Kenzie Barber, all of Grayson, and Kyle Derscha and Kali Derscha, both of Otter Lake; three sisters, Sharon Bryant of Grayson, Jennifer “Sissie” (Robert) Brown of Lewisport, Ky., and Tamira (Daniel) Barker of Grayson; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.
Dewayne was employed by MJ Electric and a member of IBEW Local 369 out of Louisville, Ky., and IBEW Local 876 out of Grand Rapids, Mich. He was a 1993 graduate of East Carter County High School, a member of the ECHS football team and was recognized as Raider of the Year in 1992 and 1993. Dewayne enjoyed life and loved his children, his family and his friends. He was always ready to give a helping hand to anyone who needed one. He could always put a smile on everyone’s faces. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Tom Riffe. Burial will be in Carroll-Littleton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 9 at the funeral home.

Paul Duncan - 1946-2008
Paul D. Duncan, 62, of South Shore, died Monday in Veterans Administration Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
He was born April 21, 1946, in Lynn.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore.
There will be no visitation.

Lewis Wright - 1942-2008
Lewis Junior Wright, 66, of Paintsville, died Monday at his residence.
He was born April 1, 1942, in Johnson County.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Jones-Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville.

James Hughes - 1934-2008
James Leslie Hughes, 73, of Louisa, died Tuesday in Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.
He was born Dec. 13, 1934, at Morgans Creek.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Young Funeral Home in Louisa. Burial will be in Yatesville Memorial Gardens in Louisa.

William Eugene Winkler, 54, of Huntington, died Tuesday in Cabell Huntington Hospital.
