Janet “Jan” Nunley (1937-2009)

Janet “Jan” Nunley, was born Oct. 7, 1937, and passed away Sept. 29, 2009.

Our most giving, loving wife, mother, sister and friend slipped from our arms to enter forever peace. Jan overcame many obstacles in her life, always reaching out to those she loved. Her greatest achievement in life was raising five children, who in return gifted her with the greatest joy in her life, 14 beautiful grandchildren. Her generosity to all who had the pleasure in sharing her life will always be remembered. Jan never met a stranger and had friends all over the world. Together with her loving husband of 25 precious years, Donald Campbell, she shared many exciting adventures. One of her fondest was Ashland High School reunions, where she could reconnect with dear old friends.

Without Janet, our hearts are broken and our tears endless, but our memories and joys are immeasurable. Her laughter and smile will never leave our memories. We will continue to see Janet “Gran” in her grandbabies and great-grandbabies to come. We will cherish every second spent with her and try to continue the dreams she had for each of us.

Janet leaves behind on Earth her beloved husband, Donald James Campbell; her five cherished children, Thomas Brady Jr. and Barbara Peery, Shelley (Peery) Caldwell, Christopher and Carla Peery, Aaron and Kelly Peery and Amy (Peery) and Matthew Schultz; and loving stepdaughters Jennifer (Campbell) and William Fahey, Heidi (Campbell) and Kyle Maroun. Throughout her hardest times, nothing brought more joy than seeing her treasured grandchildren.

Sadly also left behind are her sisters, Phyllis (Nunley) and Gardner Daniels and Judy (Nunley) and David Rengel; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Nunley; and many fond cousins, nieces and nephews. She is joyously reunited in heaven with mother, Lucille (Blevins), daddy Ralph Nunley and brother Robert “Butch” Nunley. Rest, our beautiful Janet, till we meet again and know we will keep and protect your memories forever in our hearts and soul.

A celebration of her life in stories, pictures and music will be at her home, 6015 Glenfinnan Court, Dublin, Ohio, from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 for all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
