James Conley - 1951-2008
James Conley, 57, of Titusville, Fla., died Sunday in Titusville.
He was born March 23, 1951, in Ashland, the son of the late Clark Conley and Naomi Arnold. He was the husband of Wanda Conley, who survives.
He was employed as a journeyman toolmaker in the aerospace industry. He was affiliated with McDonald Douglas Aerospace and Lockheed Martin Aerospace. He lived in Florida for 27 years and was a Kentucky colonel. His greatest joy was playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Nancy Faris of Titusville; two daughters and one son-in-law, Angela and James Hutchins of Mimms, Fla., and Shannon Conley of Titusville; seven grandchildren, Christian Conley, Jenna Conley, Kaleb Hutchins, Kalee Faris, Megan Faris, Brandon Faris and Devin Vaughn; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Ginger Conley of Titusville; and a sister, Deborah Hall of Helena, Mont.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. Jeremy Cappock. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Lillian Clinger - 1918-2008
Lillian Avoline Clinger, 89, of Ashland, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland.
She was born Aug. 4, 1918, in Flatwoods, the daughter of the late Ransome and Elizabeth White Brown. She was the widow of Charles R. Clinger. She was a member of Ashland Baptist Church and a beautician with more than 20 years of service.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clancy Brown and Henry Brown, and three sisters, Anna Laura Kurzer, Mary Margaret Mackin and Kitty Kurzer.
Survivors include a son, William Joseph Clinger of Ashland; three daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Berard of Metamora, Mich., Mary Frances Smith of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Sheila Clinger McKee of Catlettsburg; a brother, Rance Brown of Winter Park, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel by Dr. C.J. Adkins. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Leona King
Leona King of Newark, Del., went to be with the Lord on Friday July 11, 2008, at the age of 64.
Leona was born in Catlettsburg, the daughter of Chester and Marie (Damron) King and had made Newark her home for the majority of her Life. Leona served her country proudly as a member of the U.S. Army, Women’s Army Corps. She was a computer operator for the State of Delaware, retiring after 37 years of dedicated service. Leona volunteered at the Veterans Administration Hospital and was a member of the Aetna Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, the Newark Senior Center, the Newark Senior Surfers Computer Club and the Friends of the Bear Library.
Leona is survived by her father, Chester King of Columbus, Ohio; her mother, Marie King of Piketon, Ohio; her brother, George E. King and his wife, Linda, of Waverly, Ohio; her loving cousin, Pansy Troute of Washington Court House, Ohio; and many other cousins and friends she had made over the years.
Family and friends are invited to Leona’s viewing and family visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today, July 13 at Beeson Funeral Home of Newark, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Fox Run; (302) 453-1900.
Her funeral service will follow the viewing at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be on Monday, July 14 at 10 a.m. at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Del. Roger Rister
Roger Dale Rister, 59, formerly of Worthington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 10, 2008, in Jacksonville, Fla.
He was born in Worthington and had resided in Jacksonville for the past 18 years. Mr. Rister worked for CSX Railroad with 41 years of dedicated service to crew management and was a member of Westside Family Worship Center in Jacksonville.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alexia Hurst. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 41 years, Nina Kay Rister (Gallion), formerly of Flatwoods; two daughters, Cassie R. Hurst (Bradley) of Jacksonville and Stephanie D. Lowe (Todd) of Rotonda West, Fla.; his parents, Wayne and Myrtle Rister of Kentucky; a brother, Larry Rister; two sisters, Faye Wilson and Janice Cantrell; and four grandchildren, Amber and Tyler Hurst and Kayla and Hunter Lowe.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Wurtland Church of God, where he formerly attended. Mr. Rister will be laid to rest in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at the church.

Jerry Ray - 1948-2008
Jerry Maxwell Ray, 59, of Ashland, died Saturday in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born Nov. 13, 1948, in Cabell County, W.Va.
His wife, Rosa Evans Ray, survives.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg.
Friends may call an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
John Prise
John David Prise, 84, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, died Saturday in Hospice of Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore.
Infant Cobie Moore - 2008-2008
Cobie Allen Moore, infant son of DeAnna Estep and Harris Moore, died Thursday at birth in St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
He was born July 10, 2008.
The funeral was 11 a.m. Saturday at the Estep Cemetery.

Irma Jackson - 1934-2008
Irma Jean McCraw Jackson, 73, of Morehead, died Friday in Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
She was born Dec. 17, 1934.

Ray Hensley - 1936-2008
Ray Eugene Hensley, 72, of Paintsville, died Friday in Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville.
He was born Jan. 8, 1936, in Johnson County.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jones-Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville.

Bonnie Connelley - 1938-2008
Bonnie Wells Connelley, 69, of Wittensville, died Friday in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
She was born Aug. 16, 1938, in Johnson County.

Gary Koster - 1965-2008
Gary Allen Koster, 42, of South Point, died Friday at his residence.
He was born Sept. 24, 1965, in Lawrence County.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Coal Grove Memorial United Methodist Church in Coal Grove. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Ironton.
