Doris Clare (1945-2008)
Doris Clare, 62, of Ashland died Friday, July 4, 2008, at her residence. She was born Oct. 29, 1945, in Ceredo-Kenova, W.Va., the daughter of the late William and Alta Mae Jasper Smith. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Mistletoe Chapter Order of the Eastern Star 144, the American Legion Post 76, the White Shrine and was a graduate of the Citizens Academy. She was retired from Cardinal in the managing department.
She also was preceded in death by one sister, Emma Pauline Keeton.
Survivors include one son, Jim Clare of Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, William Allen Smith of Louisville; three sisters, Barbara Jane Erickson of Russellville, Ohio, Patricia Thompson of Morehead and Mary Ruth O’Neal of Ashland; and two grandchildren, James Matthew Clare and Benjamin Clare.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Steen Funeral Home, Central Avenue Chapel, with the Rev. Larry Sivis officiating. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jack Lambert (1933-2008)
Jack T. Lambert, 74, of Valparaiso, Ind., formerly of Catlettsburg, Ky., passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008, at the VNA Hospice Center. He was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Catlettsburg, the son of the late Homer and Grace Brown Lambert. He received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky and served with Bethlehem Steel for 31 years, retiring in 1991 as superintendent of power and utilities. He was a member of First Christian Church DOC in Valparaiso, was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was past president of the Sun City Center, Florida Kiwanis Club.
On April 30, 1954, in Catlettsburg, he married Margaret Jill Justice, who survives, along with their two children, Todd Lambert and Amy (Tom) Zimmerman, both of Valparaiso and two grandchildren, Tommy and Taylor Zimmerman.
Following a cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, a private memorial service will be at the Moeller Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Kovalow-St. John officiating.
Moeller Funeral Home in Valparaiso is in charge of the arrangements.

Brenda Wilson (1960-2008)
Brenda Nolan Donta Wilson now rests peacefully in the arms of Jesus following her passing, Thursday morning July 3, 2008, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Mrs. Wilson was 47 years of age, born August 16, 1960, in Ashland, a daughter of Anna Cantrell Hamilton of Ashland and the late Johnny Ray Nolan. She was a graduate of Boyd County High School and Ashland Vocational Technical School as an LPN. Her hobbies were cross stitching, quilting, poetry and gardening. She attended Second Baptist Church.
She leaves behind two children, a son, Michael Donta, and a daughter, Allison Skeans, both of Cannonsburg; a brother Greg Nolan of Ashland; four sisters, Sonia Jones, her husband Phillip, of Huntington, W.Va., Bonnie Parsons of Catlettsburg, Gail Lober, her husband Larry, of Bothel, Wash., and Lisa Fannin, her husband Russ, of Ashland; two precious grandchildren Brayden and Kamryn; and her fiancé, Gerald Nichols of Catlettsburg.
In remembrance of Brenda, a memorial service will be Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at 7 p.m. at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Those wishing to call on the Wilson family may do so at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Jamie Lee Daniel Jr. (2008-2008)
Jamie Lee Daniel Jr., 6 months old, of Louisa died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at his home. He was born Jan. 18, 2008, in Louisa, son of Jamie Lee and Amanda Lee Cordle Daniel of Louisa.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Tammy Daniel of Tomahawk; paternal great-grandparents, Earl and Teresa Daniel of Tomahawk and David and Mavis Staton of Lovely; maternal great-grandparents Robert and Carolyn Sue Cook of Louisa; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Phillip Cove Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Dock Maynard officiating. Burial will be in the Jerry and Jamie Daniel Cemetery in Tomahawk.
Friends may call anytime after 10 a.m. today at the church on Rt. 40 in Tomahawk.

Farris H. Bradley, 82, of Ashland died Sunday at his home.

Euthia Miller, 76, died Saturday at Wurtland Manor Nursing Home in Wurtland.

Kenneth Havens, 74, of Ezel died Saturday at his home.
Funeral was 7 p.m. Sunday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial was in the Old Grassy Cemetery in Mize.

Dale Stephens
Dale Stephens, 48, of Salyersville died Saturday.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Magoffin County Funeral Home in Salyersville.
Visitation anytime until the funeral on Tuesday.

Isabel King (1935-2008)
Isabel King, 72, of South Point, Ohio, died Saturday at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
She was born July 19, 1935, in Ohio.
Her husband, Donald J. King, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Zoar Cemetery in Coal Grove.
There will be no visitation.
