Steve Robinette (1973-2008)
Steven Andrew Robinette of Catlettsburg passed away on Monday, June 30, 2008, in Charleston, W.Va., as the result of an accident.
Mr. Robinette was 35 years of age, born Jan. 11, 1973, in Ashland, Ky. He was a graduate of Boyd County High School, an arborist and a supervisor for Prichard Lawn & Tree Service in Ashland. He attended Cyrus Chapel. Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had a deep love for his family.
Sadly left behind is his loving family: his wife of three years, Tarasa Dawn Maynard Robinette; his parents, William “Bill” H. and Joan Bellamy Robinette of Catlettsburg; three sons, Wesley Taylor Robinette, Trenton Andrew Robinette and Steven Dwayne Mitchum; three daughters, Tiffany Dawn Daniels, Shandra Lee Daniels and Katlin Ray Daniels; a brother, Jr. Robinette and his wife, Debbie; and a niece, Sara E. Robinette.
A funeral service in memory of Steve Robinette will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. Words of comfort and reassurance will be offered by Pastor Milton Bartrum of Fort Gay, W.Va. Final rest will be in Robinette Cemetery at the family farm on Silver Run.
Serving as casket bearers will be Bobby Joe Ross, Charles Harris, Charles Harris Jr., Joey Virgin, Scott Smith and Bo Howard. Honorary casket bearers will be Wesley Robinette, Keith Robinette, William Robinette Jr., William Robinette Sr., Freddie Wright, Samuel Bellamy Jr. and William C. Bellamy.
Those wishing to call on the Robinette family may do so from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Vicki Lynn Hutchinson Stewart (1952-2008)
Vicki Lynn Hutchinson Stewart, 56, of Florence, Ky., formerly of Elliott County, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008, in St. Luke’s Hospital.
She was born Jan. 15, 1952, in Ashland, Ky., the daughter of Hope Ball Moore and the late Estill Lee Hutchinson.
She was a homemaker and member of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Hope B. and DuRan Moore of Lexington, Ky.; two sons, James Stewart and Joshua Stewart, both of Independence, Ky.; three grandsons, Elias, Jamin and Micah; and two sisters, Glenna Searcy of Harrodsburg, Ky., and Linda Sue Hitson of Prescott Valley, Ariz.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with Pastor Warren Vanover officiating. Burial will be in Elliott County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call after noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Wondel Adkins
Wondel Lafayette Adkins, 89, of Ashland, formerly of Lawrenceburg, died Monday.
His wife, Corda Carnes Adkins, preceded him in death.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg. Burial will be in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Joseph Anderson (1927-2008)
Joseph Alva Anderson, 81, of Firebrick, formerly of Waverly, Ohio, died Monday in Veterans Administration Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.
He was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Scioto County.
His wife, Janet Evelyn Carson Anderson, died in 1990.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore. Burial will be in Firebrick Cemetery, with military rites by James L. Flannery American Legion Post 276 of South Shore.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
J.T. Brown
J.T. Brown, 78, of Argillite, died Tuesday in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Reed Funeral Home in Greenup is in charge of arrangements, which are pending.
Nina May
Nina Beatrice Grizzle May, 87, of Flatwoods, has died.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will be in O’Bryan Cemetery.

Roy Thompson (1957-2008)
Roy Len Thompson, 50, of Webbville, died Monday in Webbville.
He was born Nov. 11, 1957, in Louisa.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Young Funeral Home in Louisa. Burial will be in Copley Cemetery on Trace Branch.

Blanche Gibbs
Blanche Griffey Gibbs, 84, of Olympia, died Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital in Mount Sterling.
Her husband, Allen Gibbs, preceded her in death.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Menifee Home for Funerals in Frenchburg. Burial will be in Gibbs Cemetery in Frenchburg.
