Infant Marleyann Stith
Infant Marleyann Marie Stith, 4 day old daughter of Marandy Marie Rowe and Gregory Ray Stith Jr., went to be with Jesus in the early morning hours Saturday, June 28, 2008, at University of Kentucky Medical Center.
She was born June 24, 2008, in Boyd County.
She was preceded in death by her great uncle, Stephen Thomas Mills; her paternal great-grandmother, Ann Gaye Meyers; maternal great-grandmother, Brenda Joyce Daniels; and her paternal great-grandfathers, Llewelyn Glenn Meek and Wallace Howard Mills.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Lainey Joe Angell and Aidia Page Angell; maternal grandparents, Paul Cecil Jr. and Annetta Jane Rowe of Flatwoods; paternal grandparents, Glenda Griffin of Lloyd and Gregory Ray Stith Sr. of Catlettsburg; maternal great-grandparents, Paul Cecil Sr. and Cinda Rowe of Ironville and Cecil Edward Daniels of Greenup; paternal great-grandmother, Phyllis Adair Mills of Louisa; paternal aunt Brittney Nicole Stith; maternal aunts, Tiffany Michelle Daniels and April Dawn Rowe; maternal uncles, Derek Ray Greathouse and Paul Michael Rowe; special cousins, Dylan Riley Greathouse, Derren Jacob Greathouse and Caleb Matthew Hunt.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Dixon Cemetery in Westwood by the Rev. Dallas Sutton Jr. Friends may call Tuesday from 1 to 2:45 p.m. at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Caniff Funeral Home, 528 Wheatley Road, Ashland, Kentucky 41101 to help with expenses.
Louise Spurlock - 1923-2008
Louise Tomlin Shockey Spurlock, 84, of Catlettsburg died Saturday at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born Dec. 17, 1923, in Boyd County.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Edward Harold Plummer - 1922-2008
Harold Plummer, 85 of Grayson died Sunday at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Arrangements are pending at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
Mary Menix
Mary Lois Menix, 74, of Grayson died Saturday at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Her husband, Gradon Menix, preceded her in death.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will be in Fitch Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Bob Burchett - 1932-2008
Bob Burchett, 75, of East Point died Saturday at Highlands Regional Hospital.
He was born Oct. 30, 1932.
His wife, Carlene Wiley Burchett, survives.
Funeral will be noon Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Prestonsburg. Burial will be in the George Baldridge Cemetery in East Point.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Charles Clark
Charles “Jim” Clark, 77, of Garrison died Saturday at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
His wife, Agnes Grigson Clark, survives.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg. burial will be in Soldiers Cemetery in Garrison.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Carol Gottleid - 1943-2008
Carol Sue Gottleid, 65, of Lusby, Md., died Friday in Lusby.
She was born March 12, 1943.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Family Cemetery in Concord.
There will be no visitation.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville is in charge of the arrangements.
