Marsha Oty - 1953-2008
Marsha B. Oty, 55, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away after battling an illness at OSU Hospital on June 14, 2008.
Marsha was born May 27, 1953, to Okla and Vivian Branham (Franklin) in Ashland.
Marsha was preceded in death by her father, Okla, and her sister, Connie Sue Branham.
She is survived by her loving husband, Fred Oty; a daughter, Tracey (Brook) Bellow; a son, Roger Bellow; her mother, Vivian; her sister, Pamela (David) Sparks; her sisters-in-law, Diana Oty and Laura Oty; her brothers-in-law, David Oty and Steve (Brenda) Oty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marsha will be remembered as a loving mother and wife. She was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Ashland and retired from the State of Ohio, Capital Square Review and Advisory Board.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pfeifer Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, by Pastor Tim Swanson.
Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18 at the funeral home.

Paris Withrow Sr. - 1932-2008
Paris Daniel “Pete” Withrow Sr., 76, of Denton, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Father’s Day, June 15, 2008, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born June 8, 1932, in Boyd County, the son of the late Arch and Gertrude McClelland Withrow.
He was a self-employed farmer and of the Baptist faith. He wrote many gospel songs for the Lord.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Paris Withrow Jr.; a sister, Mary Nelson; and two brothers, Henry Withrow and Walter McCoy.
Survivors include his former wife, Dora Parks of Grayson; two special friends, Sherry Burchette of Olive Hill and Faye Whitley of Grayson; a son, John Withrow of Rush; four daughters, Pat Elson Blevins of Denton, Trudy and Millard Cordley of Hitchins, Debbie and Brian Hale of Rush and Mary and Dannie Lucas of Elton, Va.; 19 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Charlie Withrow of Four Mile; and two sisters, Helen Creek of Summit and Rosie Daniels of Ashland.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kilgore United Methodist Church in Kilgore by Pastors James McCown and Fred Wiles. Burial will be in Coalton Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.

Mavis Borders - 1922-2008
Mavis Lola Borders, 86, of Wurtland, died Saturday in Wayne Nursing Home.
She was born June 6, 1922, in Fort Gay, W.Va.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.

Markus H. Zimmerman, 86, of West Portsmouth, Ohio, died Saturday in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

David Allen Reynolds, 46, of Elliott County, died Saturday in Robbinsville, N.C.
He was born Nov. 26, 1961, in Carter.

M. Elizabeth O’Dell - 1919-2008
M. Elizabeth O’Dell, 89, of Morehead, died Friday at her residence.
She was born April 7, 1919.
