Charley Robinette (1916-2008)
Charley Franklin Robinette, 91, a resident of Ashland, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2008, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was born July 3, 1916, in Ashland, a son of the late Rufus and Eria Arthur Robinette.
Charley was married to Mary Helen Mills in Ironton, Ohio, on April 14, 1937, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 1979. He was a lab technician for Ashland Oil for many years and retired in 1982. He was a graduate of Catlettsburg High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served during World War II.
Survivors include three children, David Robinette of Ashland, Charles Kenneth Robinette of Catlettsburg and Phyllis Ann Ramsey of Okemos, Mich.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be at a later date.
Charley will be interred in the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.

Richard Mark Mautz (1955-2008)
Richard Mark Mautz, 53, of Ashland passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008, after a short illness. He was born Jan. 16, 1955, the son of Unadel “Dale” Webb Mautz of Summerville, S.C., and the late Richard Merlin “Dick” Mautz. He was employed by Slone Refrigeration and retired from the Kentucky Cabinet of Health and Family Services. Mark was a coach for the YMCA soccer teams as well as a baseball coach for the National Little League, American Little League and the Babe Ruth League for 25 years.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Robin Mautz; a daughter, Kelly Mautz at home; two sons, John Mautz and his fiancé Melissa Jerasonek of Lexington, and Joe Mautz at home; a sister, Kim Charpia and her husband, Randy, of Summerville, S.C.; two nephews, Taylor Charpia and Webb Charpia of South Carolina; and a niece, Victoria Breeding of New York.
Mark will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lloyd Ramey (1920-2008)
Lloyd Ramey, 87, of Flatwoods died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at his residence. He was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Gesling, the son of the late William Henry and Ottie Lee Wooten Ramey. He was the husband of Alma M. Bowling Ramey, who died in 2001.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Flatwoods since 1978 and was retired from Armco Steel with 28 years of service. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Ramey.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd Elden and Diane Ramey of Frederick, Md.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Donna and Paul Ramey of Argillite and Reda Carol Redden of Lexington; one sister, Virgie Lewis of Carter City; five grandchildren, Paula Sue Morman (Jim) Darringer, Linda Morman, Shane Redden, Jeffrey Morman and Jason (Rebecca) Redden; and two great-grandchildren, Lewis and Lloyd Darringer.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Steen Funeral Home, Marshall Steen Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Pridemore officiating. Burial will be in Bowling Cemetery on Whites Creek.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Alma Daniels (1939-2008)
Alma Geneva “Tiny” Baldridge Daniels, 68, of Ironville died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Greenup, the daughter of the late Ed and Clara Meeks Baldridge. She was the wife of Bobby “Bob” Wayne Daniels, who survives. She attended Rockdale Full Gospel Assembly and was a homemaker.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Baldridge; and one sister, Kathleen Queen.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one daughter, Regina Lynn Daniels (Phillip) Dixon of Westwood; three sons, Anthony Wayne (Ro) Daniels of Ashland, Timothy James (Leigh Ann) Daniels of Catlettsburg and Brian David (Kelly) Daniels of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; three brothers, Paul Baldridge and Carl Baldridge, both of Boyd County, and Elwood Baldridge of Flatwoods; two sisters, Phyllis Wilson and Garnet Brooks, both of Boyd County; 10 grandchildren, Jason, Keith and Nicole Dixon, Zach, Morgan and Jesse Daniels, Rachel Dixon, Cody Briley and Annabelle Daniels; and five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kirk, Maddison, Taylor and Jaden Dixon.
She was a devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved the Lord and loved her family.
Pallbearers will be Jason and Keith Dixon, Zach, Jesse and Cody Daniels.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Summit Church of the Nazarene in Summit, with Pastors Anthony Daniels, Timothy Daniels and Brian Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.

Ruby Parsons Tice (1952-2008)
Ruby Parsons Tice, 56, of Hamilton, Ala., died Thursday in Hamilton.
She was born Jan. 30, 1952, in Springfield, Ohio.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Hamilton. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Hamilton.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday at the church.

Jackie Rice (1930-2008)
Jackie Deloris Rice, 77, of Ashland died Thursday at Woodland Oaks Healthcare Facility.
She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Ashland.
Her husband, Leonard Rice, survives.
Arrangements are pending at this time.

Louise Firth (1912-2008)
Louise Hannah Firth, 95, of Melbourne, Fla., died Wednesday at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay.
She was born Oct. 5, 1912, in Greenup.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Zion Christian Church in Melbourne.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at the church.

Glenna Waddell (1912-2008)
Glenna Porter Waddell, 95, of Elliottville died Thursday at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born July 3, 1912, in Carter County.
Her husband, Merida Anderson Waddell, preceded her in death.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home in Morehead. Burial will be in Merida Waddell Cemetery in Elliottville.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Harold Boggs (1936-2008)
Harold Eugene Boggs, 71, of Blaine died Thursday at his home.
He was born Sept. 8, 1936, in Lawrence County.

Mona Knipp (1919-2008)
Mona Knipp, 89, of Pedro, Ohio, died Friday at her home.
She was born March 16, 1919, in Carter County.
Her husband, Fred C. Knipp, preceded her in death.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton. Burial will be in Warneke Cemetery in Pedro.
