Carrie Lou Castelle Porter (1919-2008)
Carrie Lou Castelle Porter, 88, of Grayson, Ky., went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
She was born April 25, 1919, in Olive Hill, Ky., a daughter of the late James and Susie Tackett Castelle.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Roy Porter; two brothers, Harklin Evans and Elijah Evans; a sister, Gladys Justice; and a granddaughter, Jill Kennedy Burton.
She was a homemaker and a member of Willard Church of Christ.
Her survivors include three sons, Roy Harlan (Rebecca) Porter of Huntsville, Ala., and Sammy (Carolyn) Porter and Jerry (Judy) Porter, all of Grayson; three daughters, Rhoda (Bill) Harper, Juanita Kennedy and Rosella Porter, all of Grayson; a brother, Ford Evans of Ashland, Ky.; two sisters, Garnett Hall of Middletown, Ohio, and Katie Colley of Columbus, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, Rob (Jeannie) Harper, Sherry (Rick) McGlone, Dane (Debbie) Harper, Jody Harper, Mark (Mary Ann) Kennedy, Dinah (Dean) Walters, John (Jeanetta) Kennedy, Rodney (Stacy) Porter, Timothy Porter, Regina (Doug) Porter and Ricky Porter, all of Grayson, Michael (Lucille) Porter of California, Patricia (Jeff) Brown and Debra (Sonny) Davis, all of Huntsville, and Teresa (David) O’Bryan, Jerry Porter Jr. and Christopher Porter, all of Grayson; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Bernard Kouns and Mike Harper, ministers. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today, April 17, 2008, at the funeral home.

Hazel Dotson, 90, of Flatwoods, died Wednesday in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Rude Cemetery in Flatwoods.
Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods is in charge of arrangements.
James “Jim” Burchett
James “Jim” Burchett, 70, of Olive Hill, died Wednesday at his residence.
His wife, Virgie Skaggs Burchett, survives.
Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill is in charge of arrangements, which are pending.
Roscoe Miller (1947-2008)
Roscoe Miller, 60, of Grayson, died Wednesday at his residence.
He was born Oct. 31, 1947.
His wife, Christian Miller, survives.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will be in McGuire Cemetery.

Ellis Williams
Ellis Williams, 83, of Ezel, died Tuesday in Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
His wife, Christine Bailey Williams, survives.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will be in Ezel Cemetery.

Charles Hamm (1956-2008)
Charles Edward Hamm, 52, of Clearfield, died Tuesday in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born April 4, 1956.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Harry Caudill (1930-2008)
Harry W. Caudill, 78, of Allen, husband of Wanda Ratliff Caudill, died Wednesday in St. Joseph Martin in Martin.
He was born Feb. 15, 1930, in Allen.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home in Martin. Burial will be in Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel.
George Tapp (1935-2008)
George S. Tapp, 72, of Morehead, died Tuesday at his residence.
He was born July 18, 1935 and was the husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Lipps Tapp.
Interment will be in Lexington Cemetery.

Elsie Fearing (1917-2008)
Elsie Mae Fearing, 90, of Georgetown, Ky., formerly of Ironton, died Tuesday in Trinity Station in Flatwoods, Ky.
She was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Lawrence County.
Her husbands, Glenn Albert Riedel and John F. Fearing, preceded her in death.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home in Ironton. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Ironton.
