Robert Clifton “Cliff” Lewis - 1947-2008

Cliff Lewis, 60, of Ashland, Ky., went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 3, 2008.

He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born Sept. 22, 1947, in Ashland, the son of the late Joseph Lewis and Sarah Lewis Kitchen.

Cliff was a member of Grace Nazarene Church in Ashland and retired from the Boilermakers Union Local 40 after 32 years of membership. He loved to work in his woodshop and yard.

He is survived by the love of his life, Pamala Moore Lewis. They were married on Sept. 10, 1974, in Catlettsburg, Ky. They were happily married for 33 years. They had a friendship and love few people have been blessed to share.

Cliff is also survived by five children, Tonyia Brown and her husband, Randy of Portsmouth, Ohio, Rick Francis and wife, Tiffany of Catlettsburg, Tina Barraza of Lansing, Mich., Tammie Enright and husband, Jimi of Columbus, Ohio, and Matthew Lewis and wife, Ashley of Ashland; a brother, Jack Lewis and wife, Babe of Ashland; sister-in-law, Flo Lewis of Ashland; 18 grandchildren, Cord Barraza, Shelby Francis, Alex Enright, Elena Barraza, Kelsey Francis, Joey Brown, Sergio Avila, Meghan Enright, Adriana Avila, Ryan Enright, Silvana Avila, Eric Enright, Hanah Enright, Zachary Francis, Clifton Brown, Makena Francis, Jamie Enright and Kennedie Lewis. He is also survived by special brother-in-law, Marvin Moore and sisters-in-law, Kathy Francis, Debbie Pope and Nancy Pretot. He will also be missed by many other beloved family and friends. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert C. Lewis Jr. and a nephew, Mike Lewis.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Grace Nazarene Church by the Rev. Richard Suman. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Grace Nazarene Church, 2413 29th St., Ashland, KY 41102.

Homer B. Prichard - 1915-2008

Homer B. Prichard, 93, of 2480 Terrebonne Drive, Mosinee, Wis., died Thursday, April 3, 2008 in Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Homer was born Jan. 9, 1915, in Rush, Ky., to the late Braxton Braggs & Nellie (Burns) Prichard. He married Zaria LaVerne Edmond on Sept. 6, 1943, in Russell, Ky. She preceded him in death on Jan. 6, 2004.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as gunner in Torpedo Squadron 5, chief aviation machinist’s mate on three aircraft carriers, USS Yorktown, USS Hornet and USS Enterprise. He retired as CPO (Chief Petty Officer) First Class.

He lived an adventurous life traveling, canoeing, hunting, square dancing, gunsmith, gardener, inventor, chess player and owner of Prichard Machine Corp.

Homer is survived by four children, Fernecia (Larry) Bradley of Gary, Texas, Chrysis “Chris” (Dennis) Bloom of Wausau, David (Lisa) Prichard of Wausau, and Dr. Thomas (Wendy) Prichard of Madison; 11 grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Pound, Michael (Connie) Shannon, James (Tina) Shannon, Beth Ann Talbert, all of Texas, John (Robyn) Bloom of Los Angeles, Braxton Prichard and Noah Prichard, both of Canton, Ga., Lloyd Bloom and Jessica Bloom, both of Marathon, and Mycah Prichard and Moriah Prichard, both of Wausau; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Douglas Prichard of Catlettsburg, Ky.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau. The Rev. Ted Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 6 and Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Glen Greene - 1922-2008

Glen Greene, 85, of Ashland, died Friday in Woodland Oaks in Ashland.

He was born Oct. 15, 1922, in Greenup.

His wife, Carla Greene, survives.

R.C. Meade, 73, of Ashland, died Thursday at his home.

Larry N. Cooper, 71, of Ashland, died Friday in King’s Daughters Medical Center.

Wendell Coffey, 63, of Greenup, died Friday at his residence.

Michael Stone, 50, of Vanceburg, died Friday at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Butler Stone.

Linda Caudill - 1950-2008

Linda Sue Daniels Caudill, 57, of Ivel, died Thursday at her residence.

She was born Nov. 19, 1950, in Martin.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home in Martin. Burial will be in Marshall Cemetery in Martin.



Dorsey Cox

Dorsey R. Cox, 77, of Wellington, died Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington.

His wife, Joyce Combs Cox, survives.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Menifee Home for Funerals in Frenchburg. Burial will be in Pomeroyton Cemetery.

Amanda Childress - 1935-2008

Amanda Lee Daniel Childress, 73, of Louisa, died Wednesday in Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

She was born Jan. 23, 1935, in Webbville.

Her husband, Woodrow Childress, preceded her in death.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Young Funeral Home in Louisa. Burial will be in Wooten-Childress Cemetery in Louisa.

Jane Bailey

Jane Clay Bailey of Paintsville died Thursday in Lexington.

Her husband, Bill Bailey, survives.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Paintsville. Burial will be in Mayo Cemetery in Paintsville.

Rosemary Prince Manning, 82, of Morehead, died Thursday in Heritage Place in Morehead.

She was born Oct. 20, 1925.
