Mark Allen Mayo (1979-2008)
Mark Allen Mayo, 29, died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Pensacola Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Mayo was born Jan. 9, 1979, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Patricia Ann Darty Mayo.
Surviving are his maternal grandmother, Ruby Pauline Darty of Ashland and a sister, Michelle Lee Mayo, of Fort Lauderdale.
A graveside service was at noon Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Ashland Cemetery with Phillip Knipp officiating. Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland was in charge of arrangements.
Janice E. Harris (1939-2008)
Janice E. Harris, 68, of Greenup went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born Oct. 17, 1939, in Greenup County, a daughter of the late Christopher Columbus and Charlotte Lenora Underwood Hern.
Janice was a retired Carman for CSX Transportation, a member of Electra Chapter 3 order of the Eastern Star in Greenup, served as a member of Greenup City Council for 12 years and was a member of the Greenup First Baptist Church.
Sadly left behind are two sons, Anthony Harris and his wife, Andrea, and William Mark Harris and his wife, Anita, both of Greenup; four grandchildren, Anthony Harris II and his fiancé, Lacy Clifton, of Grayson, David Harris, Corey Harris and Abigail Harris, all of Greenup; a brother, James L. Hern and his wife, Helen, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three sisters, Dixie Hern of Lakeland, Fla., Rosemary Kunges of Flatwoods and Krisa Forbes and her husband, Ray, of Argillite; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at the Greenup First Baptist Church by Brother Wayne Stephenson and Dr. Tom Melvin.
Burial will follow in the Harris-Webb Cemetery in Load.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY, 41101.

Ruth “Pat” Boggs (1922-2008)
Ruth “Pat” Boggs, 86, of Lynn, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Boggs was born March 13, 1922, in Masalona, Mich., a daughter of the late Earl and Flora Spriggs Bradley.
She was a retired cook for Lynn Elementary School. She loved to cook for friends and relatives and to trade recipes. She was a Christian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo Miller in 1949 and Wayne Boggs in 1986; three brothers, Glenn Bradley, Jimmy Bradley and Douglas Bradley; one sister, Shirley Bradley Martin.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Kay and Bob Crisp of South Shore and Vicki and Joe Taylor of Lynn; three brothers, Earl Bradley and his wife, Helen, of Baltimore, Md., Clayton Bradley of Lynn and Jerry Bradley and his wife, Billie, of New Richmond, Ohio; four sisters, Helen Bainer of New Boston, Ohio, Arlene Thompson and her husband, Jack, of Waverly, Ohio, Virginia Hacker and her husband, Wayne, of Lady Lake, Fla., and Wilma Allen of Flatwoods; one sister-in-law, Jan Bradley of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Lisa (Duane) Bradley of South Shore, Tammy (Doug) Gillette of McDermott, Ohio, Steve Taylor of Lynn and Amanda (B.G.) Hamm of Lynn; four great-grandchildren, Justin Bradley, Jordan Bradley, Reese Gillette and Eli Hamm; and many nieces and nephews.
She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. A special thanks to Melissa Burks, longtime caregiver.
Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday , March 19, 2008, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by brother John Wray Walters. Burial will be in Quillen Cemetery in Lynn.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY, 41101.
Lonnie Charles McDavid (1952-2008)
Our angel, Lonnie Charles McDavid, 56, of Grayson, went home to be with his beloved Jesus Saturday evening.
The son of Carl Wayne McDavid and the late Delphia “Dutchie” McDavid, Lonnie was born Feb. 29, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and died March 15, 2008, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Besides his father, he also is survived by his stepmother of 28 years, Jeanetta Ingles McDavid; sisters Karen McDavid and Paula (Garry) Ledford; stepsister Linda Faye Ingles; and stepbrother Larry Ingles.
He also leaves to cherish his memory seven nieces and nephews and six great-nieces and nephews as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, followed by the funeral at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Community Hospice Care Center, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY, 41101.

Danny Jones, 55, of Sandy Hook, died Saturday.
Mr. Jones was born Aug. 12, 1952, at Ezel, and was the husband of Mary Smith Jones.

Mr. Cordle was born April 22, 1929, in Ashland.

Mrs. Goodwin was born Aug. 24, 1918, and was the widow of Willard E. Goodwin.
