Lou Ann Hinkle (1962-2008)
Lou Ann Hinkle, 45, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday, March 10, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Hinkle was born Sept. 16, 1962, in Ashland, a daughter of Bonnie Lee Moore McCoy of Catlettsburg, Ky., and the late Earl Raymond McCoy Jr.
She was a homemaker.
Additional survivors include her husband, Jack Hinkle of Ashland; a son, Travis Jackson Hinkle of Ashland; two brothers, Earl McCoy of Ashland and James McCoy of Catlettsburg; and a sister, Manda McCoy of Catlettsburg.
The funeral will be at noon Friday, March 14, 2008, at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. Richard Tanner. Burial will be in Bash Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, at the funeral home.
Andrew M. Meade (1922-2008)
Andrew M. Meade, 85, of Westwood, died Tuesday in Kingsbrook Lifecare Center.
Andrew was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Magoffin County, Ky., a son of the late Sam and Gertrude Hamilton Meade.
He was a retired foreman with Meade Construction and a decorated tank driver during World War II. Andrew was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Fitch Meade, in 2004; three brothers, James Meade, Wannie Meade and Bob Meade; and a grandson, J.P. Adams
He is survived by a daughter, Peggy Adams (Noah) of Westwood, Ky.; a son, Danny Ray Meade of Grove City, Ohio; four grandchildren, Theresa (Bill) Whitlock of Ashland, Ky., Gary Adams of Westwood, Mark Adams (Josie) of San Antonio, Texas, and Danna Rae Miller of Baltimore, Ohio; 11 great-grandchildren, Jason Hammond, Natalie (Damon) Stephenson, Justin Adams, Sunshine (Nathan) Ryan, Melissa Adams, Tyler Adams, Wesley Adams, J.P. Adams, Noah Adams, Aaron Adams and Jacob Miller; a great-great-grandson, Isaak McKenzie Stephenson; two brothers, R.C. Meade of Ashland and Sam Meade of Catlettsburg; and two sisters, Vertrice (Cecil) Clark of Cleveland and Jean (Walt) Black of Catlettsburg, Ky.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home by the Rev. Michael Locklear.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park, with military rites by Ironton VFW 8850.

Pauline Barker Sammons (1923-2008)
Mrs. Pauline Barker Sammons, 84, of Cane Run Road in Louisville, Ky., passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008, in Richwood Nursing Home in LaGrange, Ky.
Mrs. Barker was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Carter County, Ky., and was a daughter of the late Lum C. and Marie Dowdy Barker.
Pauline was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend to all who knew her. She was employed by the old Ben Snyder’s Department Store for 22 years and was a member of South Jefferson Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James M. Sammons; and a brother, Donald Barker.
She is survived by her son, Mike Sammons of LaGrange; a grandson, Shaun Sammons of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Juanita Tackett of Louisville, Ky., and Barbara and Don Johnson of Lexington, Ky.; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Barker of Olive Hill, Ky. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill by Brother Richard Martin. Burial will be in McFerren Cemetery on Three Pines Road in Olive Hill.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday and until services Friday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Isabelle Hall (1935-2008)
Isabelle Hall, 73, of Ashland, died Monday at her residence.
She was born Feb. 20, 1935.
A graveside service will be at noon today at Caroline Cemetery in Raceland.

Boyd Bailey
Boyd Bailey, 62, of Sal-yersville, died Monday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Magoffin County Funeral Home in Salyersville.

Kenneth Cade Sr. (1932-2008)
Kenneth Melvin Cade Sr., 75, of Arabia, died Monday in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 22, 1932, in Lawrence County.
His wife, Reba Knipp Cade, survives.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Macedonia Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

Cora Mae White, 75, of Ironton, died Monday at her residence.
She was born July 2, 1932, in Proctorville.
Her husband, Glenn Joseph White, died in 1999.

Her husband, Roland Starr, died in 1981.

Guy Thomas (1962-2008)
Guy Cameron Thomas, 46, of Ironton, died Saturday in Ironton.
He was born Jan. 23, 1962, in Lawrence County.
