SOUTH POINT — Staff report

SOUTH POINT Ashland continued its barrage of 3-pointers to begin the season.

The Kittens sank 10 long balls on their way to a 66-41 rout of South Point on Monday night.

Kaylyn Gambill drained five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 19 points. Alexis Robinson added 15 points as 11 different Kittens scored.

Aundrea Bradburn led South Point with 11 points.

Ashland forced the Lady Pointers into 31 turnovers. The Kittens (3-0) host Boyd County on Saturday.

Lexie Barrier scored 21 points to lead the Lady Tigers.

No one cracked double figures for the Lady Rams. Krystal Keeton racked up seven points.

PAINTSVILLE Taylor Porter scored 23 points and Kara Kirk added 18 as Lawrence County held off Paintsville.

Porter also tallied three steals. Ashleigh Adkins contributed eight points and eight boards.

Kerrigan Sammons poured in 25 points to lead Paintsville.
