INDIANAPOLIS — Kentucky and Louisville will have a late-night showdown in Indianapolis on Friday night with a 9:45 tipoff on CBS.
Tennessee and Michigan tangle in the first game of the Midwest Region semifinals at 7:15 p.m.
This will be the second time in three years that arch-rivals UK and Louisville have met in the NCAA Tournament. Kentucky defeated Louisville in 2012 in the national semifinals on the way to its eighth championship. Last year, of course, the Cardinals won the NCAA crown.
Kentucky, 26-10 and the No. 8 seed, stunned previously undefeated and top-seeded Wichita State 78-76 on Sunday in St. Louis.
Louisville, 31-5 and the fourth seed in the Midwest, defeated St. Louis 66-51 in Orlando, Fla., on Saturday.
