Raceland used some early pop at the plate and steady pitching from the circle to advance past Menifee County, 6-0, in the 16th Region All "A" Classic semifinal round on Wednesday night at Raceland-Worthington High School.
Kymbria Williams put the Lady Rams on the board in the first inning with a three-run home run, her first of the season. Morgan Curley followed that up with a blast of her own, a solo shot, in the second frame.
Leigh Grubb drove in a pair of runs on a double in the fifth inning to put Raceland up 6-0.
Kelsey Diller allowed just two hits and walked a batter over seven innings for the Lady Rams. She struck out seven Lady Cats.
Menifee County pitcher Erika Brewer fanned 11 batters, but gave up seven hits.
Raceland (6-3) takes on Fairview for the All "A" region championship today at 6 p.m. at Raceland. Menifee County fell to 5-6 on the season.
