PADUCAH —  Ashland’s Post 76 Junior Sixers continued on to roll in the American Legion Junior State Tournament in Paducah on Saturday.

They will vie for the championship today.

After a win over Lexington on Thursday, the Sixers survived a slugfest against Tri-County Legion on Friday. On Saturday, they beat defending state champion Paducah.

In the Sixers’ 22-14 win over Tri-County, Casey Clark sparked a huge third inning with one of his three hits on the day. Post 76 jumped out to a 16-6 lead after three. Kyle Morris picked up the win for the Sixers.

Pete Mullins tossed a complete game against Paducah 31 on Saturday. Mullins, coupled with Josh Bradley’s base-running, led the Sixers to a 2-1 victory.
