Latonia Post 203 needed extra innings to do it, but it’s season continues on.

Latonia defeated Morehead Post 126 6-4 on Tuesday evening in the first game of the  loser’s bracket game in the Kentucky American Legion District 4 Tournament.

After the loss, Morehead has been eliminated from the tournament.

With the game tied at three going into the bottom of the eighth, Morehead took a 4-3 lead after Bath County’s South Whitt smacked a home run over the left field fence.

Morehead couldn’t keep its advantage, as a throwing error allowed Latonia to tie the game up in the top of the ninth to sent the game to extra innings.

Then in the 11th inning, Nico Pangallo gave Latonia a 5-4 lead  with a single to center field. Pangallo would later score on a wild pitch for an insurance run.

Latonia will play Ashland in the loser’s bracket final tonight at 5 p.m. Latonia has already lost to Ashland in the tournament, falling 8-3 in the first round.
