Cancellations stack up Friday

ASHLAND — The threat of a severe winter storm wiped out virtually the entire slate of basketball games in the area on Friday night.

Games that were postponed until later dates include (with new time): Fairview at Boyd County girls (Sunday, 2 p.m.); Fairview at Boyd County boys (Sunday, 3:30 p.m.); East Carter at Morgan County girls (Monday, 7:30 p.m.); and Ashland at Johnson Central boys (Monday, 7:30 p.m.).

Games that were canceled and won’t be made up are: Fleming County-Russell boys; and Russell-Ashland girls.

Games that were called off and likely won’t be rescheduled: West Carter at Lewis County boys; Coal Grove at East Carter boys; Raceland at Elliott County boys; and West Carter at Bath County girls.
