Paintsville 3

Pike Central 1

Matt Miller turned in a fine five-inning pitching performance and the offense did the rest in the fifth and sixth frames in a defeat of Pike County Central on Tuesday.

Spencer Taylor tossed the final two innings to lock up a win for Paintsville (6-4).

Pike Central’s only run came on a Paintsville error in the third inning.

Paintsville scored twice in the fifth after Luke Daniels singled to lead off the inning. He scored on a passed ball. Colby Burchett later drove in Miller with an RBI single.

In the sixth, Luke Daniels singled in Lane Daniels.
